2011 Fantasy Baseball Rankings: Miguel Cabrera and Other Quick Starters

Getting off to a fast start is always important when it comes to success in fantasy baseball . You want to see that your investments do actually in the right direction and the position your team what you imagined them to do anything long spring training. The winning streaks are always nice in the beginning, especially after all that trash talk before the season. Here's a look at 10 players, fantasy baseball owners are very satisfied so far. With some big names and some fantasy baseball sleepers , there are some major surprises in the initial phase.

1B Miguel Cabrera / Detroit Tigers: Except for a few hitless games in the first week of regular season play in 2008, has the guy ever had a bad start? Miguel Cabrera is a perennial fast starter and fantasy owners love. Consistency is what you crave in a world of fantasy sports and Miguel Cabrera is the model of it! To start the 2011 campaign is Miggy at .349 clip with four homers and 10 RBI batting. Nothing unusual here, if you own him, just keep waiting and watching for more stats scoreboard butts!

OF, Matt Kemp / LA Dodgers: You have that almighty mix of speed and power to love in every sport. He's just a home run to speak of in 2011, but the power numbers will come, just wait until it begins to warm outside and the ball really started to fly through the beautiful Los Angeles air. With only 12 games, is Matt Kemp hits .425 with seven stolen bases. He will not say the .400 average all season long, but it's still a good indication of the kind of hitting season he might be towards the top. With a good average, the pain is not always zero home runs so do not worry, all my owners Kemp, he will treat you and your class log soon enough!

SP Dan Haren / LAA Angels: They want to talk about hot starts? Dan Haren is so stingy with his ERA now that batters are eating twice before stepping on the field for the warm pre-game up! So far, Dan Haren flashes an impressive 3-0 record with 21 K's through 24 innings, a 0.73 ERA and a 10.50 K / BB ratio. Where was all this when I saw him in last year? I do not remember any of this! Well, now some other owners of this year, the fruits of his labor will enjoy!

SP Jared Weaver / LAA Angels: Wow, have now Angels fans were delighted to be treated this good pitching. Through 20 and two thirds innings, strikeout total Weavers rests at 27 with a strong 3-0 record to go along with a 0.87 ERA and whip. Who needs to help run this if you are persistent with a few lines to you? Weaver owners now look forward to their ROI (return on investment).

1B Paul Konerko / whitesox Chicago: Ah, he looks back, she put it on the caaaaannnn booooaaaarrrrdddddd, yyyyyeeesss, yyyyyeeessss! A two-run bomb grace! Folks, that radio call from Ken Hawk Harrelson does not get any better than that. When Paul Konerko owners in the past three years I've been spoiled with his consistency and timely hitting. He is taken from another wonderful start this year, .362 with three homers, 12 RBI and eight runs. Apart from a significant injury, expect him to remain a key factor in your 2011 fantasy baseball campaign.

1B Ryan Howard / Philadelphia Phillies: Jayson Werth walked with and Chase Utley in the lineup, Ryan Howard is expected to hold down most of the action this year for the Phillies. He has responded well to the challenge so far in 2011 with nine runs, three homers, 13 RBI and a solid .333 average with just 11 games. With Werth and Utley in the lineup, it will be interesting to see how his season to go further.

SP Matt Harrison / Texas Rangers in 14 innings, Harrison was strong this year as a starter. He is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 0.71 WHIP-shutdown of the new and improved Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox. He has never been much of a strikeout pitcher than was his K were never more than his innings, but who needs them when you have the Ranger offense behind him. After two games so far, it seems to work out for Harrison than in 2008 and 2009 were a different story. He was off to bullpen duty in 2010, but for some reason in 2011, things look promising. We all know that sometimes in baseball, at some point the players just seem to get it. We'll see if he can keep it.

SP Ricky Romero / Toronto Blue Jays: When fighting the Blue Jays in the AL East ESG hope to have them go, Ricky Romero pitching more like he is – his K is almost matching his innings (20 K and 21.2 innings ) with a 1.66 ERA, 0.92 whip and a solid 5.00 K / BB ratio. Owning him towards the second half of last season (2010), I was pretty frustrated with his earned run totals, given the expectations I had for him when I get him traded. Now it looks like an owner who drafted him this year are a good feel of her truck so far.

Util, Willie Bloomquist / Arizona Diamondbacks: Filling in for the injured Stephen Drew to start the season, Willie Bloomquist was a hot free agent commodity in the fantasy world of bravado an early ninth season game hit streaks come in Wednesday ', 13 April games. In 2011, Bloomquist is batting .349 with nine runs, homer, five RBI and six stolen bases. It's hard to say whether he got the at bats this season, a squad guaranteed spot, but at the same time it is difficult for a manager to take a hot bat in the lineup. So now I want to say that he is worth at least a roster spot, even monitor with Stephen Drew back and roast as usual, the situation though.

OF Nelson Cruz / Texas Rangers: It's hard, a guy who's leading the majors in homers (five) to hold from this list, especially when you consider how he lost one of those five home runs in four of them beat the first four games of the season (one in each of the four games). Cruz also drove in 12 runs and scored nine times. So far he has hits right at .300, but I would expect that this number a little dip in the face of career .273 hitter he is. Still, he's gone to a good start and owners are happy with their investment.
