Indy Racing League (IRL) Tickets â? Dario Franchitti wins Indy 500 2010

Apart from a fiery crash at the end of the 500-mile race, known as "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing", the 2010 Indianapolis 500 was relatively uneventful â? that is, Dario Franchitti had it in my pocket all the time.

Franchitti snagged his second career title at 30th Indy 500 May 2010, have won an IndyCar driver ever by the legendary 17's prestigious race more than once (his last victory in 2007). The Target Chip Ganassi Racing Superstar began in the front row after qualifying for the race in third place behind Helio Castroneves and Will Power, light winds early lead and hold it consistently over the 500-mile race.

IRL driver Dan Wheldon, Danica Patrick and Tony Kanaan made boisterous routes to the top of the pack during the 2010 Indy 500, but ultimately no one could ever lead the gaping Franchitti created throughout the day on 30 May be overcome. The No. 10 Target car in Victory Lane under the yellow flag zoomed, but it was not until almost the end at all as Franchitti started running of gas on the back straight of the race. Franchitti, the second Indianapolis 500 victory propels him into the elite area as one of the few riders to win the prestigious Indianapolis race driver but the humble thanks for the newfound comparisons after 30 May race. He told ESPN, "They showed me a list of two-time winner [after the races], and the guys are legends. I am so happy to drive for Chip [Ganassi] and Team Target, always good car, especially with an off the [ to NASCAR] gone, after we won in '07. To be invited back was pretty cool. "

Another Indy 500 title was perhaps not in his original plans, but the 37-year-old driver takes everything in stride. "To win a championship and an Indy 500 come, I did not expect anything of it," Franchitti said ESPN. Franchitti is only the year of the IRL came in 2008 when he made a lukewarm foray into the wide world of NASCAR, and his reappearance in the past year, as a hero for Target Chip Ganassi IndyCar racing is extremely successful ever since. Franchitti is the defending IndyCar Series champion after winning the series in 2009, and his 2010 Indy 500 victory is another great asset to help drive him to the top of his game.
