Michigan Football Fans: Pro and College Football Final Season Updates

Detroit, MI – Michigan football team, the Lions, Spartans and Wolverines enjoyed a long and varied-in some cases, season. Games are won and lost, but each team had to take something with them, as the season ended.

Detroit Lions

The preseason is considering Michigan football fans feel good about the Detroit Lions' season than they won three of four preseason games, but that's really where the excitement seemed to fade. The Lions won only two of the first 12 games they played during the regular season. Of those 12 games, the Detroit Lions lost an average of only three points with the exception of three of those games they lost by 14 or more.

The end of the season was the highlight of the year for the Detroit Lions and fans as they won the last four games against Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Miami and Minnesota. According to general manager Martin Mayhew, was the Lions' main theme through the fourth quarter, what to play to their weakness.

The last game of the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida was the first January against the Alabama Crimson Tide. They will not say much about this game post-season, as the Michigan football team's 49-7 loss was hard at. The Crimson Tide scored a touchdown in the first quarter, three of the next two in the third and matched the Spartans with a touchdown in the final quarter.

Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines had an average season, losing seven games won, while five regular during the season. Hoke has also seen five of his players earn All-American honors.

"We are pleased to announce the hire of Brady," Brandon said at the press conference announcement. "He has to be a great coach and a great ambassador and leader for our football program. We look forward to seeing him build a championship program in the field and in the classroom."

The Wolverines may have had a rough end of their season, but with the new coach they Hoke joined next year can be much stronger than this season.

Final score: 7-6 (3-5), 7 Big Ten.

Although the football season may be over for these three Michigan football teams, everyone has something to work towards next year when 2011 season officially begins.
