Peyton Manning was on 24 March 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana born. At 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 230 pounds Manning is one of the bigger quarterbacks in the NFL. From early in life, it was obvious that Manning would be a great footballer. His father, Archie played quarterback in the NFL, and Peyton was destined to fall in his footsteps.

Manning attended Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans. He started as a quarterback in three consecutive seasons, and during that time he has broken some of the best statistics that the state has ever seen. For his career Manning passed for 7207 yards while leading his team to an overall record of 34-5.

After high school, Manning decided that his game to the University of Tennessee instead. When all is said and done he ended up as one of the greatest college football player of all time. He led the school to a 39-6 record over four years by 11 201 for yards and 89 touchdowns.

With the first pick of the 1998 NFL Draft Manning was selected by the Indianapolis Colts. Into something that is rare in this day and age, Manning has started every game of his NFL career. This says a lot as a quarterback in the NFL.

Manning began his career on the right foot by more than 3,700 yards and 26 touchdowns as a rookie. He set NFL rookie records, and many have continued ever since his record-breaking ways.

In the 2006 season, Manning led the Colts to a 12-4 regular season record and an eventual victory in the Super Bowl. This win solidified him as one of the top quarterbacks in the game.

With many years left to play, it's safe to say that Manning continues to put up great stats, and led his team to victory after victory. When all is said and done, it's a good chance that Manning is his career as the best quarterback that the NFL has ever seen to finish.
