Purdue Basketball Tickets – Without Hummel, Boilers Take A Plunge

Purdue Basketball Tickets – Without Hummel, Boilers Take a leap

Purdue University men's basketball team took a turn for the worse position in the final phase of the regular season in which Indianapolis Star sports columnist Bob Kravitz summarized in a five-word description: "What a shame, damn shame." The unfortunate incident, he's on course is the fact that sitting Purdue star player Robbie Hummel the sidelines for the rest of the season, all but dashing the Boilermakers' shot at a national title.

Hummel brought gasps on the basketball court after landing on a 12-foot jump shot at the end of the February 24 game in Minnesota Purdue wrong, tore his ACL and putting an immediate stop to the rest of his junior season. Purdue immediately took a nose dive down the NCAA polls, despite the final win against the Gophers, and the decline on Feb. 28 when the boiler of the Michigan State '10-game winning streak broken deteriorated.

With E'Twaun Moore and Jajuan Johnson missing the third piece of extremely powerful stand, it was just something missing on the pitch despite Purdue crowd in the February 28 game against the Spartans. Seniors Chris Kramer and Keaton Grant came to the aid to help the team effort of filling Hummel gap on the basketball court, but after a solid first-half run Boilermakers proved no match for recovering much larger and Michigan State's offense, slides, a 53-44 loss.

Purdue Mackey Arena was introduced to LWH (Life Without Hummel) on Feb. 28, and the results were less than dazzling. Johnson and Moore had trouble in the paint and Kramer lost the ball over as often steal as he did with Robbie Hummel from the bench as his team was getting out of steam. The Boilermakers were ultimately not strong enough to ward off Raymar Morgan and Kalin Lucas, and now they have sacrificed the hard-earned No. 3 national ranking in the last week of the season to go before the Big Ten tournament starts.

Despite the absence Hummel for the rest of the season still a good Purdue basketball team – but to do good basketball teams win national titles? Hardly. What could have turned Purdue golden year wrong, but in the meantime, the NCAA Tournament is only the beginning, that is, the Boilermakers can come back from a very close loss to the Spartans and still the big dance their best jig.

Illinois basketball coach Bruce Weber said ESPN does not count to Purdue only when it comes to the Big Ten and says: "You can still get the Big Ten championship win is definitely within reach, and that's what he [Matt Painter]. has the focus on the right side now. "

In fact, this is not the first time Robbie Hummel has been MIA on the basketball court. Last season Hummel struggled to recover from a broken bone in the back for much of the season, and the Boilermakers still have a solid run in the NCAA Tournament. This year, the Purdue basketball team is durable yet another Hummel-induced setback, but Purdue basketball fans are still ready to cheer on the black and gold of the tournament for the team to focus on what (or who ) is distracted on the pitch and hopefully not always by what is absent.

Basketball fans have snapped Purdue basketball tickets from StubHub to games the rest of this season and with Matt Painter's Boilermakers fell on the spot No. 6 in the polls to start the month of March, the Purdue fans still 'Boiler Up' go March Madness – and for the record, has already started the madness.
