What are ACT scores? The ACT scoring system was initiated by ACT, Inc. in the United States. It is a standardized test for college admissions in the United Sates. Actually the ACT score, gives the answer to the question – Is a student ready for college?

Most score or rather all four year colleges and universities based course in United States accept students on the basis of an ACT. But, one needs to understand that there are other equally importance factors (skills) which need to be sharpened for entering the cream of educational institutes.

What does the ACT test check? An ACT score signifies a high school student's general educational development and capability in terms of key skill areas like reading, mathematics, English, and science. There is also optional writing test at Which has been setup to check the skill level in writing (in planning as well) a short essay.

What does ACT Composite 75th Percentile Score Mean? For many, this concept stands for fitting into the criteria of getting admissions in colleges. If your score as if by the 75th percentile score for a Particular college, it refers to a situation where your score was more than 75 percent (better than three of every four pupils who took the test) of all students who gave the test.

All in all, students who manage to tick all the boxes must-do in terms of ACT exams often get the best colleges.

Example – ACT Math: 21 / 27The number 27 stands for the 75th percent of pupils enrolled in the above college. As the score is in terms of mathematics, students got a 3/4th Math score of 27 or lower while 1/14th got above 27th
All in all, students who manage to tick all the boxes must-do in terms of ACT exams often get the best colleges.
