Grammy Awards 2010 – A list of the nominees

Grammy nominations in 2010 were presented today. In addition to finding out how many nominations Taylor Swift receives, the CBS special was a coming-out party for Nick Jonas & the administration.

The Grammy Awards will be for 31st January 2010, in the downtown Staples Center set up, and Pop & Hiss has a wish list for the conduct of the relevant Grammys throughout the coming decade. Stay tuned to this post for updates throughout the evening.

Quick thoughts: The Grammys back to an old favorite, with Beyonce take a leading 10 nominations this year, including album and song of the year, all resulting from their 2008 release "I Am … Sasha Fierce". Rising star Taylor Swift was eight, also scoring noms in record time, album and song.

Biggest surprise: Silver Lake's Silversun Pickups earned Best New Artist nod for their second album "Swoon". Published on local indie Dangerbird Records, the album was a breakthrough for the action, and made his debut in the top 10.Though not the action debut, such formalities are meaningless, Grammy voters, and the action is in with MGMT and The Ting Tings, two competitive acts, which released their debut in the spring of 2008, and R & B's and Keri Hilson country Zac Brown Band.

Biggest snub: Where to begin? The 2010 Grammy nominations are a complete mystery, and you have to wonder where exactly Recording Academy voters discover their own music.

Locks of Kanye West's "808s and Heartbreak" out of the main categories is only the beginning. As far as Dave Matthews albums go, you can not much worse than "Big Whiskey and GrooGrux King," but the album the friendly light rock was not as sophisticated as inventive or "808s". • 18.21 Clock: Sugarland lead cut Christmas "Coming Home" that looked and sounded surprisingly elegant in the world Tackiest Christmas tree.
• 6:14 Quick Song of the Year Analysis: Kings of Leon's "Only By The Night" album was eligible in 2009 awards, so many of the candidates expected on the group of singles for 2010, showered, because the act is one of the best-selling rock bands of the year .
