7. 15. January 1929 is the day that Dr. King brought God into this world to a great destiny teaching mankind to love one another, to hate rather than to meet each other.

6. Martin Luther King, Jr., was originally called "Michael King, Jr.," that is, until the family visited Europe in 1934 and traveled to Germany. His father soon changed both her birth name of Martin Luther in the highest honor the German Protestant Martin Luther.

5. King met Coretta Scott, to 18 June 1953, married on the lawn in front of her mom and dad's "house in her childhood town Heiberger, Alabama. Scott King and bore four children together.

4. Civil rights activist, theologian trusted and qualified educator Howard Thurman was a major influence on the early dr. King. A classmate of King's Dad at Morehouse College, Thurman serves the young King and his friends. Thurman's missionary work had him abroad where he had met, discussed and met with Mahatma Gandhi. When he was a student at Boston University, King often visited Thurman, who was the dean of Marsh Chapel. Walter Fluker, Thurman has studied the writings, said: "I do not think you'd get a Martin Luther King, Jr. without Howard Thurman."

3. In March 1955, a 15-year-old student, Claudette Colvin, steadfastly refused to give her bus seat to a white man in legal compliance with the Jim Crow laws. King was at the Afro-American Committee of the Birmingham community that the case examined, Edgar Nixon and Clifford Durr decided to wait for a better event to follow. On 1 December 1955 Rosa Parks was arrested refused, put their seat. The Montgomery Bus Boycott, urged and strategically planned by Nixon and led by King, soon followed. The boycott for 385 days stayed, and the terrible situation was so intense that King's house was tragically bombed. King under arrest during this difficult campaign, which finally came to an end with a United States District Court Judgement Browder v. Gayle that ended racial segregation in all public buses Montgomery down.

2. During his long career of public service, King wrote and spoke frequently, drawing on his extensive experience as a preacher. His "Letter from Birmingham Jail," written in 1963, is a "passionate" statement of his struggle for justice. On 14 October 1964, was King of the recent recipient of the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize, which placed him for leading non-violent resistance to end racial prejudice in the United States was given.
