Joe Corvo

Carolina Hurricanes traded defender Joe Corvo to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Brian Pothier, Oskar Osala and the design received the second round.

Corvo back on the ice in late January after missing two months recovering from a terrible skate cut on his calf. In 33 games this season, has four goals and eight assists, Corvo with a value of minus -8 rating.

The 32-year-old native of Oak Park, IL, a lot of quality offensive numbers from the blue lines of last season with 14 goals and 24 assists.

Submitted by Los Angeles Kings in the 4th Round (83rd overall signed) in 1997 Corvo in the use of the Ottawa Senators as a free agent in July 2006, where he reached the Stanley Cup Finals.

He, along with Patrick Eaves, was traded to the Hurricanes for Corey Stillman and Mike Commodore in February 2008.

In 467 NHL games, 66 goals has Corvo, 146 assists and a plus -41 rating.

In the meantime the 32-year-old Pothier four goals and seven assists in 41 games this season with the Caps. He missed 11 games earlier in the season caused by a rib injury.

Osala still have the game in the NHL elected to the capital in the fourth round, 97 won in the overall standings for the NHL Entry Draft 2006th
