The free ferry to Algiers Point offers some great views of the Mississippi River and New Orleans skyline. New Orleans has a whole lot more to offer architecturally at ground level, and it was interesting how many of the tallest structures were hotels.

Orleans Parish sheriff's deputy arrested
New Orleans, La. – Allegations of simple assault and violation of protective orders has in Orleans sheriff's deputy off the job. A sheriff's office spokesman says Mark Andry was immediately suspended when the sheriff's office found out he was arrested. He would not comment on details of the case.
