Excitement over BJ Penn's 21 second knockout of Matt Hughes Way Overrated

All the hoopla over BJ Penn's 21 second knockout is way premature. Yes, he knocked out Matt Hughes in 21 seconds, and it looked impressive, but Hughes is not even one of the top 10 of welter weights anymore. How about we hold the excitement until one of the best fights Penn.
No disrespect to Matt Hughes. He's an amazing fighter, and hall of famer was one of the best MMA fighters ever to step into the octagon. Keyword is "what". Hughes is a few years past his prime. He's 37 years old and the body just starts to behave differently. In fact every superstar fighter that keeps fighting we see in his late 30's to 40's and even ends up losing a lot (Liddell, Couture, Shamrock). It's not that these guys are not great, it's just your body can not physically do the same things anymore. Hughes is definitely showing signs of slowing down. He is not the same fighter he was five years ago.
Hughes has lost three of his last six fights (helped). He has 8 total losses in a 12 year fight career. Half of those losses have come in the last 4 years. Thus, in his first eight years of fighting, he had four losses last, and in his 4 years he's had four losses … Can you see the pattern?
Everyone is saying BJ Penn is "back" and there's lots of excitement over him fighting in the welterweight division. I'm not saying he's not back, I'm just saying it's too early to tell. I mean, there really should not be so much excitement over a fighter that lost his previous two fights and then finally won a fight against on aging, older fighter that's way past his prime? Penn should really get that much credit?
BJ Penn needs to fight the best before he can re-establish himself. And the best is not Matt Hughes. The best is Georges St Pierre. But, I think before they even give Penn a shot at GSP, he should go through the ranks and fight Koscheck, Thiago Alves, Jake Shields and Fitch (who he is scheduled to fight in Jan). These are the top UFC welter weights and he should have to go through this list before he gets another shot at GSP, especially since GSP has already defeated him twice.
Once Penn goes through this list … or at least starts defeating some of the guys on this list, then we can say BJ Penn is back.
He's scheduled to fight Jon Fitch at UFC 127 in January. If he defeats Fitch, who is in amazing fighter (although, not the most exciting to watch), then there is a glimpse of hope for Penn re-establishing himself. If he free to Fitch, I'm not sure if we will see much more of BJ Penn. Only time will tell.

Trash Talk About Georges St Pierre Not finishing Oppenents Lets-Get The Facts Straight
One of the big criticisms you hear about Georges St Pierre (GSP) is that he does not finish his opponents. Meaning he always goes the distance and wins by decision as opposed to knocking them out or submitting them. But is this true? Let's look at the record.
